Roy Mahshie, owner of Mahshie Custom Homes, has been in the construction field for the past thirty years and is a second generation builder. He began learning the construction business at a very young age while working with his father, who was a custom home builder and residential remodeler in Hendersonville, North Carolina. When the time came for Roy to embrace the first chapter of his adult life, he decided to attended East Carolina University where he secured an Associate’s Degree in Civil Engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management. While attending E.C.U., he owned and operated a residential remodeling company where he undertook a variety of construction projects ranging from adding on decks to full out interior home renovations.
After graduating in 2004, Roy and his wife Jenna decided to move to Charleston, a place they had only visited once but fell in love with. They knew Charleston was a place they could raise a family and also, with a lot of hard work and an unwavering demand for perfection, nurture a company that would undoubtedly become a staple for quality and precision. Roy's attention to detail and desire to elevate his trade professionals to be great and take pride in their work are fundamental components to his success in becoming one of Charleston's premier custom home builders.
